It was a great year for Swami Vivekananda International School after they lost at the final hurdle in Harris Shield. Winning this match will allow a chance at another prestigious award. Rizvi Springfield also have some qualms after being bettered by eventual winners A.L. Barkaat in Harris Shield Semis. All in all, payback time for both teams. Swami Vivekananda won the toss and elected to bowl first; as there were some signs of moisture on the pitch. They certainly would have imagined differently as Mohit Tanwar and Tejas Chalke combined for 300+ runs partnership after 3 early wickets for Rizvi. Mohit Tanwar was playing immaculately as he hit the ball through the covers 27 times and hit 3 sixes in his 5 hour innings. Tejas Chalke complemented him with his 101* amid his 3 hour stint. Rizvi ended the first day with 352/3 in 81 overs and second day match couldn’t continue as Swami Vivekananda International School couldn’t reach the venue in time. Rizvi Springfield High School secured a spot in finals owing to no show.
