Stupendous comeback performance by St. Francis D’Assisi in the Semi-Finals

The game started with Udyachal taking big strides early on. After a few half chances, first goal came courtesy of a goalkeeper’s error which Harshvardhan was ready to pounce in on the 5th minute. D’Assisi had a knee-jerk reaction and made some half chances in the aftermath. Rushawn had a handball inside the box and resultant penalty was scored by Jai in the 16th minutes for Udyachal. After going 2 down within first half, D’Assisi made forward forays resulting in a free kick and corner which were cleared aptly by Udyachal. Udyachal were defending from the front and it allowed them to be ominous. Prasad Lad had a shot saved after fumbling it.
Half time: 2:0.
It was like a role reversal after the first half. D’Assisi came back as a totally different team. After persistent pressure Keegan scored for them on the 30th minute. D’Assisi had a corner saved after a good shot was saved. Nitesh made a slaloming run which could only be parried for a corner in 40 minutes. Varun scored a cracker of a volley from outside the box from the corner.The comeback was complete and the game went to penalties on which D’Assisi prevailed.
